| Chinese Consumers Are Going Green |

Going green is a trend throughout the world right now. China is no exception. More consumers are looking for products that are environmentally friendly than ever before and are willing to give special consideration to products that sell themselves in this manner. When asked to rank the factors in choosing a washing machine, for example, 27% of consumers ranked environmental friendliness as the number one factor to look for. That was true only for 21% of respondents in the United States. The impact of green products shouldn’t be a surprise since four-fifths of the population believes that dealing with environmental issues should be one of the country’s top priorities. For a company interested in properly positioning their product for success in the Chinese market, the green factor could be an effective selling point even among more well-known and trusted brand competition. |
